It’s Important To Have A Real, Rather Than Fake, Adult Date
The first people who really put the idea of universal human rights and dignity into words were the folks who wrote the U.S. declaration of independence. All the variants thought up during the French revolution or for the UN charter of rights are all derivatives. There is something interesting about the idea, though, in that it states that everyone is born equal, not that everyone is equal. We've got to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but that doesn't mean everyone lives up to the responsibility of being a decent human being. Some people are just jerks. We have to respect their right to be jerks, but what we do not have to respect is the fact that they are jerks. This translates to the dating scene, because when you're searching through a sex dating site, you're probably looking for a real adult date. Someone who is emotionally mature rather than someone who, having reached the age of majority, still thinks that the world is their personal playground and that they don't have to treat anyone else with any dignity or respect. If you're really going to have fun with someone, they've got to be mature enough not to turn a simple relationship into a nightmare.
