I haven't got the slightest idea on the origins of the phrase tall, dark and handsome but I'm pretty sure whoever came up with that was thinking of good-looking Italian men. Italians, in general, are an attractive lot which is probably why many of my friends come up to me for help on finding a hot Italian date. It's not that much of a problem considering there are many good dating sites on the internet and in this day and age when you can pretty much find anything with the touch of a button and a click of the mouse, Italian dating is as easy as ordering take-out.

Bike Rides With A Fit Beauty

Everyone knows the old saying that necessity is the mother of invention. Now, I hope to prove that it can also be the spark that leads to a great romance with a fit beauty if only I can get over one obstacle. You see, my friend is a biking enthusiast and always has to have the best equipment. With his most recent upgrade, he decided to leave what he saw as his old clunker to me, and I now find myself the proud owner of a somewhat used but still nice bike that is a natural magnet for athletic singles, right?

Importance of Being Earnest… or at least the importance of using proper table manners as a way to get the date off to a good solid start.

I happened to be in Chicago this weekend for a writers workshop at Second City. While I was there I wanted to play around downtown. Shopping and running around the beach are not occasions where a play date is absolutely necessary but for dinner, I require company.

Its far too depressing to think I would have to eat alone, ordering room service while I am trying to enjoy a new city.

With the recent elections, there was not only a historic and incredibly groundbreaking race for the Presidency that included the oldest nominee, the first African-American and the first female nominee for Vice-President, there were also several measures that were to be voted upon. One of the most prevalent in the media was Proposition 8, which was the proposition to overturn gay marriage laws in California and other states. Incredibly, the proposition passed and gay love is once again at risk. It's amazing to me that this could happen. Maybe if some of the voting public spent more time at gay dating sites, this might not have happened.
