Is Everlasting Love Just A Myth?

A much older person who I've always looked up to once told me that love does eventually fade no matter how perfect you think your partner is. This is quite a depressing thought and I wonder if his insight on the nonexistence of everlasting love is actually true. After meeting a great girl on a local dating site, things immediately became serious. I by no means wanted them to - sometimes relationships just happen that way!
