A Seven-Minute Date With A Rich Pretty Girl

The very first thing I thought was "This is too good to be true." I met this rich pretty girl on a wealthy dating site and couldn't believe she was interested in someone like me who is still living paycheck to paycheck. Nothing in my profile information indicated my financial status, so I assumed she wasn't a stickler when it came to dating someone in the same tax bracket. Not so. I believe I've set a new record for royally screwing up a first date and it was all due to money issues.

My parents left for Brazil to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary this morning and I just can't help but feel jealous. I really wanted to go with them and experience the beaches of Sao Paolo. I even told them I'll stay out of their way, so they can enjoy Brazil to themselves, but to no avail. Then again I know I won't be able to go because I have work and I also know that I'm still carrying a few extra pounds from pigging out on chips for a whole month. I have to hit the gym first and become a fit hottie before I can compete with a hot Latin guy.

Where Are All The Committed Gay Men?

For years now, my gay friend has been complaining about how he can never seem to find a long-term partner on the various gay dating sites he peruses. Every time he meets someone he's interested, it turns out to be a one-night stand at worst or a three-month tryst at best. Oddly, this isn't the first guy who has bemoaned that it's difficult for gay men to find a meaningful relationship. As much as I would like to help, I'm pretty out of touch with the gay community, so I can only work with broad generalizations and stories from my gay friends.

Your Ideal Partner

We have spoken about this before. When choosing a person who you would be interested in does she/he really exist.  So make sure when you are looking for someone that they are out there. If you spend too much time looking for a person that doesn’t exist you can be wasting valuable time and effort in the dating world.

 Don’t set such high standards, be realistic about the age difference, the physical aspects, tall - dark - beautiful/handsome - is great but you also have to be open of who you are. Education - as many woman go for the higher degree’s just because the man doesn’t have the “Ivy” League education - doesn’t mean that they are not intelligent.

The higher the expectation the longer it may take - and you may miss out on meeting your perfect match - because you where waiting for the “Ideal” one.

More Than A Fling With A Hot Mature Woman?

In an effort to find a better partner, I've been checking out a number of local dating sites in hopes I will find a hot mature woman willing to date a younger guy - and it has to be more than just a fling. After dating a number of girls my age or a few years younger, I'm starting to have major doubts as to whether I'm looking for women in the right age bracket.
