Uncovering Muslim Girls
When I was still in college, I had three female classmates who happened to be Muslims. Tasnem was cute and petite, Baimuna was tall and really pretty and Aliyya was a goddess and she drew people's attention whenever she entered the room. I always thought these three Muslim girls were really pretty, but me being a bit naive at the time, always wondered why they didn't come to class wearing their standard hijabs. Maybe because Muslim dating would be easier if they wore their street clothes? Most of our Muslim female faculty went to work wearing something to cover their hair, but not these three girls.
It may sound a little cold, but I feel that it's human nature that people will frequently see others in the same category or fulfilling the same function that they did when they first met them.
